Stand up for Joliet.

My name is Cesar Guerrero and I’m running for Joliet City Council.

As the son of Mexican immigrants, I know what it is to work against the odds to make something better possible. I’m a community organizer who learned what it means to work hard, working long hours on the warehouse floor.

My Dad always taught me that government is supposed to work for the people and that when it doesn’t, it’s up to the people to change the government. People like me aren’t supposed to run for elected office, but I’m running now because it’s time for a change.

As your City Councilor, I will always be dedicated to social and environmental justice as we develop a more equitable Joliet. You can count on me to fight to make sure nobody has to wonder about the quality of the water coming out of their faucet or how they’re going to pay for it; I’ll fight to make sure Joliet creates high paying jobs that can support families and that our teachers and nurses have the support they need to keep our communities vibrant.

I’m asking for your vote because I believe a Joliet that works is possible and it starts here.
